HOOD MEMORIAL WELCOMES DR. CEFALU

Internal medicine specialist, Francis Cefalu, M.D, has joined the staff at Hood Memorial Hospital’s Amite Rural Health Clinic.  He is seeing patients ages 13 months and older by walk-in only. Dr. Cefalu earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed his internal medicine residency at Earl K. Long Medical Center in Baton Rouge.

 

“I am very excited to welcome Dr. Cefalu to our practice,” said Hood Memorial Hospital’s CEO, Mike Whittington.  “Dr. Cefalu’s passion for excellence and commitment to community-based healthcare will be an asset to Hood’s patients.

 

Cefalu will practice with Dr. Farhan Siddiqui, and Nurse Practitioners Amy Delaney, Wendy Hallmark and Shea Edwards.

 

The Amite Rural Health Clinic is a primary care clinic located at 409 NW Central Avenue and offers extended hours Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturdays 8 a.m. to noon.
