Hood Memorial Hospital is proud to offer new opportunities for community involvement and career exploration through our Volunteer and Shadowing Programs. These programs are designed to support hospital operations, enhance patient care, and inspire future healthcare professionals.
o Shadowing: The Hood Memorial Hospital (HMH) Shadowing Program provides high school, college, and professional students the opportunity to observe healthcare professionals in a hospital setting. This program is designed to offer educational insights into medical careers while maintaining patient privacy, safety, and high standards of professional conduct.
o Adult and College Student Volunteer: The Hood Memorial Hospital (HMH) volunteer program at Hood Memorial Hospital (HMH) provides opportunities for adult and college student volunteers to support hospital operations, enhance patient care, and contribute to the hospital’s mission of compassionate healthcare.
o Junior Volunteer: The Hood Memorial Hospital (HMH) Junior Volunteer Program provides high school students with an opportunity to serve the hospital community while gaining valuable exposure to the healthcare environment. Junior volunteers assist staff, patients, and visitors in non-clinical capacities, supporting HMH’s mission of compassionate, high-quality healthcare. This policy applies to all junior volunteers participating in the program. It outlines eligibility requirements, roles, and responsibilities, conduct expectations, safety procedures, and administrative processes for program participation.
